Main purpose of the role:

  • To build the overall schedule for enabling activities, execution activities and monitor, control and communicate progress for leadership to make the correct decisions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build WBS and Schedule Structure using Primavera P6.

  • Input standard tasks for outage.

  • Input detailed job steps per scope item (bookies board items).

  • Create coding in P6 based on outage requirements.

  • Hold pre outage planning meetings.

  • Liaise with outage team members regarding scope detail and planning.

  • Create histograms during planning stages for visibility of labor density.

  • Create S Curves and baselined schedule upon all frozen scope being planned/job stepped and logic linked within P6.

  • Maintain/update progress report/progress curves throughout outage.

  • Create tick sheet updating method and reinforce the importance of using them.

  • Update P6 daily with progress and reschedule.

  • Keep all key stakeholders informed of critical path and outage end date changes after schedule updates.

  • Ensure ACR process is adhered to and ACR scope is added to the schedule and its effect on the schedule are known and agreed upon.

  • Monitor and control planned activities throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

  • Provide support to Project Manager and Project / Outage Engineers in the successful delivery of all work within the assigned project.

  • Manage and lead all activities related to project planning and accountable for managing the overall Master Control Schedule.

  • Ensure project team have full awareness of their respective project activities, and track compliance to plan delivery with short and long term lookaheads.

  • Hold interactive planning sessions to develop and agree the planning network.

  • Attend and provide input at respective project planning meetings.

  • Provide support during Campaign, Outage and Turnaround close-out.

 

Experience:

  • Essential

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction/site based EPCM & TAR planning/ scheduler role.

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience using Primavera P6 planning application.

    • Knowledge of Microsoft Project.

    • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving and decision-making skills.

    • Experience with construction outage plans and specifications, tracking TQs and submittals, and developing project documentation.

    • Experience tracking and analyzing cost and schedule.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

  • Desirable​

    • Building Integrated schedules.

    • Knowledge of maintenance.

    • Management techniques.

 

Qualifications:

  • Essential

    • HNC, HND / or equivalent / or significant TAR experience.

    • Current Medical

  • Good command of written and spoken English (desirable)

  • Good technical knowledge and skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Dedication, drive, ownership, resilience, and accountability
