MECHANICAL PLANNER

Main purpose of the role:

  • To provide all workpacks, including deliverables for Campaigns, Outages and Turnarounds as well as, act as Supervisor during key phases onshore / Offshore

 

Responsibilities:

  • To participate in lessons, review and assist the team in the identification and close out of improvements.

  • To develop workpacks, risk assessments and method statements.

  • To visit Onshore and Offshore facilities to carry out constructability reviews.

  • To participate and manage workpack round table reviews to look for gaps in deliverables, scope, materials, risk, and uncertainty between all key stakeholders involved in the process.

  • To liaise with the materials management team to ensure timely delivery of materials, tools, consumables, and equipment for the event.

  • To be involved in toolbox talks ensuring the required quality of communication is delivered during the conversation.

  • To carry out active monitoring on Turnaround related activities.

  • To provide input into the QA/QC process ensuring all work conforms with the required quality standards.

  • To provide supervisory requirements during the planning, execution and close out of Campaigns, Outages and Turnarounds.

  • To provide accurate and quantifiable information into the pre-works schedule as well as, regular progress updates.

  • To provide updates for the execution schedule on scope, durations, resources, and logic.

  • To actively participate in Tri-Party walkdown activity during event to ensure seamless handover back to operations.

  • To manage completions and Pre-Start-Up-Review activities.

Qualifications:

  • Essential

    • Trade background

    • Mechanical Qualification (min. HNC Mechanical Bias Qualification)

    • Current MIST

    • Current BOSIET

    • Current OGUK Medical

  • Desirable​

    • Mechanical Qualification (HND or Degree)

    • CompEX (Desirable)

  • Good command of written and spoken English (desirable)

  • Good technical knowledge and skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Dedication, drive, ownership, resilience, and accountability
