MECHANICAL COORDINATOR

Duration : Approx. 30 Weeks Overall Duration Working 3/3 Rotation (Based Offshore)
Primary Functions:

Planning: To act as a Construction Coordinator for the GT1 Major Inspection which shall require meticulous planning and input into the schedule, i.e., to ensure the correct resources have been applied (resource levelling). To ensure all activities are correct in the plan through communication with key stakeholders. Regular communication of the activities in the plan shall be required through all stakeholder groups involved in this maintenance scope.

Safety: To hold daily safety briefs with the key stakeholders involved in the scope and create a great safety culture.

Quality: To ensure the scope of work and any deliverables for the execution of work conforms with Client quality requirements and to an acceptable standard with the client. Quality should also be discussed daily at the safety meeting as quality and safety go hand in hand.

Monitoring and controlling: The plan shall be used to measure planned versus actual progress daily, to identify any variance and to resolve issues to remain on-track. The daily report will be the mechanism to communicate daily with the client Onshore/Offshore, the content and distribution list of stakeholders shall be agreed with the client.

Stakeholder Management: It shall be your duty to identify all client and non-client related stakeholders and manage them on a situational basis.

Communication: You will be required to provide good communication of those vendors at the workface, Offshore leadership and Onshore to minimise disruptions.

Leadership: You’re the FCS-Group Focal Point for the entire scope and shall be required to provide good leadership skills with the workforce Offshore. This will involve getting the most out of everyone to deliver on: Safety, Quality, Cost and Time.

Materials: As the coordinator you will be expected to ensure all materials have been ordered through the experts, i.e., vendors and client and shipped prior to scope commencement.

Assurance reviews: Carry out round table reviews of schedule, workpacks, risk assessments, method statements and permits, lifting plans to check for accuracy and validate deliverables.

Blockers: The role shall involve identifying potential blockers and resolving them before they come to fruition.
Experience:

Minimum 5 years relevant experience in an Offshore Oil/Gas Production Unit Project Environment

Mechanical / Rotating Equipment Background
-
Familiar with MS-365 Applications
-
Well-developed planning and organizing skills

Mechanical Qualification (min. HNC Mechanical Bias Qualification)
