Contracts Manager

Contract Management;
-
Manage Main Contract, Sub-contracts and POs as required supporting Supply Chain;

Manage Insurance, Bank Guarantee requirements, Milestones and contracts’ deliverables;

Support in the development of contracting strategies, preparation of Sub-contracts and management of Sub-contracts tendering and award process;

Ensure that Company and Project HSSE and Quality Requirements are duly cascaded to Sub-Contracts and POs;

Monitor the performance and compliance with the contractual requirements and the signatory powers, expedite disciplines where necessary and highlight potential areas of concern;

Ensure commercial and contractual awareness across the Project Team throughout the life of the project;

Ensure a fluid cooperation and contribute to a Legal-Contract team approach;

Achieve and maintain total auditability of all commercial and contractual dealings, including clear record keeping and regular commercial reporting;

Draft or review the formal Project correspondence, depending on the subject;

Set-up Payment Milestones and follow-up;

Participate and Provide input to Risk and Opportunities management.
Change and Claims Management;

Formalize and resolve any potential claims against Client, Subcontractor and Vendors (in conjunction with Supply Chain and Legal) and manage the change process;

Manage EOT, Guarantee period and Insurance Claims in liaison with Legal and Insurance.
Contract Close-Out;

Ensure provision of timely notifications to Client/Subcontractor/Vendor as and when required by the Main Contract/Subcontracts/POs and whenever deemed necessary to protect SBM’s rights;

Coordinate and control the Contract/Subcontracts Close Out process.
Reporting

Ensure provision of input for the Cost/Financial and Management Reporting as required.
Attributes:
Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in all aspects of the contract management (Contract, Planning & control, budgeting, executive reports, company compliance) at an international level;

Board experience in sales and lease contracts, in executing contract negotiation and claims;
-
Experience of project execution interface;
-
Experience within the Offshore Oil & Gas industry preferred – Knowledge of offshore operations..
-
EPC contracting experience also considered for the role.
Qualifications:

Master’s or Honour’s Degree or MBA in one of the following disciplines (Business Management, Law, Construction Law, Engineering or Quantity Surveying).

Business planning & organization skills;

Good command of English (written and spoken)
